I was walking my spaced out ass to Lalmatia a while ago to go meet a friend when I momentarily evesdropped on overheard a conversation between a couple walking past:
Girl: so did you get a job?
Guy: hah I think so.
Girl: REALLY?
Guy: yes! hah at CRAPOLA Bank after i give MR. HumanResourcesDude 300,000 taka ( around $4,200 USD).
So I guess there is hope afterall when(if) I graduate…

that s why i left BD. sick of dishonest people.
I know Rahman, i only came across the concept of ‘buying’ a job after I came here. It’s scary. I mean everyone here knows that only graduates with links ( relatives/family friends in high places) are getting jobs, your qualifications count for almost nothing. Those without such connections are the unlucky few, a lot of them are either struggling to find work or are having to make do with menial positions way below their potential.
The idea of accepting bribes in order to award jobs does raise a lot of concern. We begin to question whether such organisations have any sort of ethical guidelines/monitoring at all and even if they do, are they really being enforced?
BTW the bank in question is one of the more predominate private banks here.
I want to good job
